It may for example propose to add to modules to the suite of CAT tools, or to modify or replace an existing tool. It can also contribute to setting up the debugging and upgrading priorities. While its advice is non-biding for the Foundation Board, it is generally heard because its membership is composed of highly-skilled technicians.
It may include representatives of various stakeholders such as the Swiss Confederation, customers, the academic world, the open source world, etc. Its advice is also non-biding for the Foundation Board.
